Not your typical young adult novel, and confusing in the beginning. But eventually really interesting. The characters are all so engaging, well not all. I hated Taylor for quite a while. She had no compassion and was so full of self-pity and she was petulant and I didn't like her at all. But in time the other characters humanized her.

It's very real and honest without reveling in the darkness and becoming wholly unbearable. Really interesting.
