Shelby wants to help her daughter (Lizzie) recover from an emotional condition,(Selective Mutism) and with the help of her therapist, she finds a summer job as assistant chef at a family ranch, along with therapy with horses for her girl.
Not only does Lizzie find the help she needs, but so does Shelby who's having a hard time dealing with it all since her divorce, but also Foster, the swoon-worthy cowboy Hero who also has a troubled past and doesn't know how to deal with these new emotions that stir his heart as he meets Shelby at the ranch. He is loved by all. What a guy.
The story plays very realistically and has it's funny moments. It even made me cry with the more emotional ones. The Skye Family are also very entertaining and grow on you. Made me wish the place was real to pop in and visit them. It's a story about Family, Love and second chances! 5♥
Can't wait for the next book in the series. Definitely a new favorite author for me!
