Quanta Reset by Lola Dodge

Quanta Reset (The Shadow Ravens, #3)

by Lola Dodge

Quanta has escaped her laboratory prison, but that’s where the good news ends.

Life at the Shadow Ravens’ compound is a disaster. She’s drowning in visions of the dark pasts and darker futures of her fellow Ravens and is plagued by her own panic-inducing memories, but Lady Eva still expects her to “train” and “participate in missions.” Plus, the food tastes like burnt plastic.

The only bright spot is her genetic pairing to the brilliant Altair Orpheus. As their relationship grows, she’s positive that chemicals aren’t the only things drawing them together—although chemistry is definitely involved.

While they test the limits of her game-changing new ability to reset time, word arrives from Eva’s agents: Doctor Nagi is still experimenting with her DNA.

If he succeeds in duplicating her power…Forget the Shadow Ravens. The whole world is toast.

I received an ARC through NetGalley.

Quanta Reset picks up right where Quanta left off. Although, I will admit that I didn’t immediately remember where we left off. There are plenty of reminders though, so I settled back into this world within a few chapters. Quanta and Altair are working with the Shadow Ravens, but they also have to worry about the fact that Quanta’s powers are going a little haywire. This could mean very, very bad things for her if they can’t figure out what’s causing it or how to stop it. Meanwhile, one of Quanta’s clones is out and about and they have to stop her! It’s dangerous enough having one person who can manipulate time running around, but add in a second who’s under the control of a mad scientist? Disaster.

I really don’t have much to say about Quanta Reset. I really enjoyed it! It was fast paced and exciting. We got to meet another Red Helix with a strange ability. Things do get weird when Quanta’s clone shows up, but she just added to my furious page turning. Basically, it’s another worthy sequel and has me eager to know what happens next!
