Jasinda Wilder is easily one of my favorite authors out there and I can't get enough of her books! Badd Brothers and Dad Bod Contracting series are without a doubt my favorite books by her. And with Nailed, I'm sure it tops as my favorite in this series!
Ryder and Laurel are the absolute sweetest together. I really enjoyed the way their story went and they were just perfect for each other. I appreciated the way that Jasinda decided to pace their relationship, it's not exactly an insta-love kind of story. But their attraction towards was intense from the very beginning, but that was enough for them to hold back on not trying to pursue it more. Well, it was coming more from Ryder's end than Laurel's. I can't say that I fault a guy for his hesitancy especially with what he dealt with, with his ex-wife.
And can I just say that I love stories where kids are a part of it especially if they're written in so well?! Laurel has the absolute best nine-year old that I've come across in a story, and he's the cutest and you'll fall in love with Nate. Laurel has a painful past as well dealing with her crazy ex-husband. And she'll forever be tied to that man because of their son. But her life spiraled and she did everything she could to get back to place where she was truly in love and happy with herself. And she's ready to welcome someone in, and that's Ryder.
I admired Laurel's tenacity to know more about Ryder and his reasons for essentially ghosting her. And that was probably one of the best things that could have happened for their relationship because it pushed Ryder to finally open up to her. And that's when they realized that they have more in common than their chemistry.
Ryder knows how to treat a woman and it boggles my mind why his ex took that for granted. I can't get enough of how was with Laurel, he treated her like every woman should be treated. Seriously...I can't get enough of Ryder and Laurel!
I loved everything about this book, seeing the love and appreciation grow between these two, the awesome-ness that is the Laurel aka the Mama Warrior, and the best #squadgoals anyone could ask for. Dad Bod Contracting is another series that I'll never want to say goodbye to, so thank goodness we don't have to, yet.
