What a wonderful world the author created. Honestly, the world-building alone is fantastic. This is a work of Sci-Fi with some Romance, so the focus is very much on the reality these characters live in and the politics of their societies. And I mean it when I say the plot is heavy with political intrigue so if you enjoyed the bureaucratic trickery within the "Kushiel's Legacy" series, you will enjoy this book.
