I love stories with children in them. This is probably because I simply love children.
Silver Star combines a cowboy with a country music star trying to get her love for music back. When Sara meets the handsome widower, Cal, and his precious princess, Stella, her heart doesn’t stand a chance.
I love the way that Stella is such a princess and the way that Sara relates to her so quickly. One of the cutest scenes was one where Sara gets Stella to eat the broccoli which she has refused to even touch in the past.
The content is clean, though there is a scene where a character is attacked and almost raped. I would not recommend it for a very young audience for this reason.
Parts of the story felt a little stilted and parts made it seem drawn out but overall it was an enjoyable read.
