This was an interesting issue, all things considered. Though I swear Barbara has been getting better at getting herself beat up lately. At least it feels that way. I feel like that should be saying something.
This issue did a great job of building the tension. It kept revealing these little tidbits – things that we had the vantage of seeing, but nobody else. Especially not Batgirl. Because of that, I think the next issue is really going to bring things to a head.
Okay, so twice now I’ve seen one of the Bat-characters use a double fisted punch. I’ll admit that it would probably hit really hard…but wouldn’t it likewise be easy to predict and dodge? I mean, you can literally see them putting their whole body into it. Sorry for the brief aside, but I had to vent about that.
