To Love and to Cherish by Lauren Layne

To Love and to Cherish (The Wedding Belles, #3)

by Lauren Layne

Sex and the City meets The Wedding Planner in The Wedding Belles, a contemporary and witty romance series about three high-powered New York City women who can plan any wedding-but their own.

Alexis Morgan has spent the past six years devoted to turning her tiny start-up into Manhattan's premiere wedding planning company, The Wedding Belles. Now that her business is thriving, it's time to turn towards her much neglected personal life, and Alexis approaches her relationships like she does everything else: with a plan. Not a part of that plan is Logan Harris, the silent partner in the Belles, and the one person who's been there for her since the very beginning. But Alexis needs someone fun, and Logan's all business, all the time-except when a late night at the office ends with an unexpected kiss that leaves the usually cool and together Alexis reeling.

Logan has lusted after Alexis since the day he walked into the tiny Harlem apartment that used to double as her office. But the ambitious wedding planner has always been untouchable...until now. Alexis has made it clear that she's on the dating market-and equally clear that he's not in the running. But when Alexis finds herself in need of a date for her sister's last minute wedding in Florida, Logan knows it's the perfect time to show Alexis that there's more to him than numbers and spreadsheets-and beneath the pinstripes and glasses lies a hot-blooded heartthrob. As Florida's sultry days turn into even hotter nights, Logan's out to convince Alexis that the fling of a lifetime could just maybe turn into forever...

Alexis and Logan have known each for eight years. Since they met, Logan has wanted her, but Alexis is too focused on the Wedding Belles to notice any attraction between them. Logan has been a very patient man but his family is giving him an ultimatum so his patience with Alexis is now running thin.

I've been dying for Alexis and Logan's story!! In the previous novels, the reader only knows that Alexis and Logan have known each other for a while but no one knows how that came out to be. The prologue for To Love and to Cherish explains all of it and I was dying!

Logan is Alexis' accountant and silent partner to the Wedding Belles company. He spends two times a week with her, but has never really shown her he's interested until now and my gosh, I was eating it up. Logan is a British man (yes, with the accent and all) and wears glasses. Combine all that with Logan in a suit. Cue all the dreamy and heart eyes right here.

To think for eight years she'd been drinking coffee every Monday and Thursday with Clark Kent when she should have been sharing a hotel room with Superman.

The chemistry between Alexis and Logan was hot hot hot! You could just feel that tension and cut it with a knife. I desperately wanted more from it. One of my problems was that I wish there had been more moments with them as a couple. I think I would have enjoyed this novel more. Also, I didn't like how Alexis wouldn't get out of her head and follow her heart. This put her relationship with Logan in a few predicaments that would leave me slightly frustrated. At least, their chemistry made up for that!

"Are you scared, Alexis? Scared of my hands on you? Worried you'll invite me to your room tonight?" His tone was joking, but somehow Alexis knew those eyes had just gotten several shades darker, even behind their protective aviators wall.

I'm definitely going to miss all of the characters. I just loved all of the friendships formed within the Wedding Belles' workers and their significant others. I mean, the men's moments had to be me one of my favorite parts of the story. They mesh so well together having just met and I love that they count on one another for advice. Lauren Layne just knows how to write about amazing characters with a great strong presence of friendships.

Overall, To Love and to Cherish was a good and sweet ending to this fantastic series! I will miss these characters with all my heart.
