I wasn't sure what I'd make of this book, but when I was offered it free for review I thought I'd at least give it a try. I have to admit it was better and different than I thought it would be. So that was a pleasant surprise.

I've read a few books where after some kind of trauma the main character has suffered memory loss. As I started the one, I thought I was in for something similar, which wouldn't have been that bad, but then something different happened that took me by surprise and had me wanting to read it through to the end to see how it all panned out. I won't give it away, as that would be a major spoiler.

The book had some strong and interesting characters and the story was well structured and moved along well. A few of the stronger themes were love, honesty, family, and loyalty. There were enough interesting twists to keep my attention.

It's not a straightforward romance as there were other things that happened that took it away from that. Everything tied up pretty well at the end, which was fine. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to read something romantic, but is also looking for an interesting twist.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
