The premise of the book is infuriating and several of the occurrences throughout the story will make you rail at the injustice and ponder how everyone could have failed these people.

My issue was the lengthy detour through the history of coroners in Mississippi. While I don't debate that this discussion informs listeners to how the system came to be so corruptible, it was entirely too lengthy.

If you are looking for more wrongful conviction cases to hear/read, this is a great study in how the system can fail citizens at multiple levels due to racism, bias, politics, and an inability to admit poor decisions.
