I really liked it...

This story was great. It had all the thing I adore in a paranormal romance. A big, strong, possessive Alpha Shifter hero and a funny, quirky human heroine. I laughed out loud through most of this story.

Meryn was a little hard to peg. One minute she is self-conscious, the next she is strong and demanding to be heard. She could be manipulative, especially to people she doesn't like. If she does like you she will hold you close to her heart and protect you like a parent does a child.

Aiden is a strong leader who likes to be in control. He does not like it when his mate is in danger so he tries to hide her away safe but Meryn is not one to take a backseat.

The sexy parts were a little slow in coming but the story was strong enough to keep my interest.

Loved the family dynamics and loved all of the other characters introduced throughout the story.

Love your work Ms Alder and will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Can't wait for Book 2.
