'The answer you seek lies within them.'Oz Vessalius may have survived his stint in the Abyss, but he is no closer to discovering the truth behind the 'sin' for which he was condemned. On the advice of a mysterious man who appeared to him when Alice regained the first of her memories, Oz, along with Alice and Pandora's Raven, embarks on a mission to investigate the site of his disastrous coming-of-age ceremony in search of answers. The beauty of Mochizuki Jun's writing is that nothing gets put without a reason, and answers are not given very quickly. Yes, this could be a con to some, but to me personally, I really think it was fantastic when I was following it weekly.

Now that I'm rereading it however, I can appreciate her carefully laid plans a little bit more since we get to know more about Raven and his relationship to Oz, about the contractors and see how dangerous this situation really is. Nothing much was actually given since it was mostly about the relationship dynamics between the trio, but I think for a second volume that's mostly setting up for the rest of it, it was pretty engaging.
