I've sat on my thoughts for weeks and still can't put into words the feelings Love, In English produced in me. I am still sitting here, at a loss. If I could run around, holding the book, screaming at people to read it, and doing spontaneous public readings, I would. So instead, I will try to do this beautiful story justice here.

"You're like his favorite food in the whole world. He want's to have you, eat you, devour you. He thinks about you all the time, craves you. ... That is how he looks at you."

I found myself rooting for Vera and Mateo early on. They could be considered "bad guys" by some, but I felt sorry for them. They are victims of life and circumstance. And they find comfort and solace in each other. Their love isn't perfect. It's messy and people get hurt. And that sucks. They feel bad about it. But you can't help who you fall in love with and when.

"You can't fall in love in a week," I told her heatedly.

"You can fall in love in a second," she said with a snap of her fingers. "The heart has no regard for time."

They each said and did things that made me angry, made me sad, made me rage, and made me swoon. I just couldn't get enough. This is a very character driven story, which is perfect for me, being a character driven reader. These characters, and their story, moved me. You will just have to meet Vera and Mateo yourself.

"Ugly?" Mateo said in fervent disbelief. "No. You are terribly beautiful, Vera. So beautiful that it hurts. You would outshine her like the star you are."
