Once I finished Sea of Ruin, I was eager to go through Pam's back list of books. And since the first books in her series were free, I jumped on the chance to do some solid bingeing. For the first half of the book, I was completely engaged with the story.

It's not an easy one to read about what happens to Conor. But she carries on with her life even though she loses everything and everyone. I absolutely felt for her and I was just wondering if she would get her happily ever after.

One of the biggest problems that I had with this story was the hero and certain actions he takes to help Conor. It just didn't feel right for the story, so it took me out of their story more than anything. I did like that he was willing to do anything to help her heal, but I wasn't feeling the way he went about it.

It was an OK read, not quite sure if I'll continue with this series. But there's many more books to read of hers and I can't wait.
