One of the things that 1,001 Dark Nights mention about their novellas is that they can be read as a standalone. Although I don't agree with that completely, you can definitely do that with Naughty Princess.
Pilar is the sister of Elias, whose book is The Sinful King. And her other brother Aramiss, we'll be getting his story soon, which I can't wait for by the way. Claire did a fantastic job introducing everyone without making things confusing.
I loved that Pilar and Ben already had a little bit of history of sorts. More of Pilar just crushing on him for a long time. It was great to see their friendship/relationship grow. Novellas are tough to write and I think their story just needed a little bit more,
But overall, very enjoyable read and I can't wait to dive into this series a bit more.
