Eleanor “Nora” Lockhart’s life hasn’t gone as planned. Ruined as a young lady, she has spent years in seclusion. Without funds, she comes back to London to be a companion to one of the Ton’s most gracious women.

Titus St. John, Duke of Kendall, was once a young buck, not caring for the feelings of the young ladies he dallied with and encouraged his friends to do the same. Unfortunately, Nora was one who his friend ruined and refused to marry. All these years later, Nora is now his step-mother’s companion and he might have a chance to redeem himself for his earlier transgressions.

I love how Burke brought these two together. I have always been a sucker for a second chance story. She crafts her characters into the story in such a way, I actually felt along with them. Those emotions are how I gauge a magnificent story. Burke succeeded in bringing this reader into the Untouchable’s world and made me fall in love with it instantly. I wish the story was a bit longer, but I hope to see these characters again as the series continues. As this is my first read by Burke, I will definitely reading more from her in the future.

The Forbidden Duke is a magical tale of redemption, forgiveness, and passion. I recommend this for any fan of historical romance who loves a well crafted story to go along with the amorous tidbits.
