I don't even know what to think about Oblivion. I was quite annoyed with Enshadowed, because nothing happened, then there's this sudden, strange ending. Well, that ending turned out to be nothing. It's a huge shock and a cliffhanger, but this one picks up about two weeks later and everything is just fine. That's annoying. Isobel is back in school, her parents don't trust her, and she's still hoping to saving Varen. Obviously being the final book in the trilogy she does so, but it's so drawn out and boring.

Oblivion was just not a good finale. It's the same thing over and over for about 250 pages, and I was bored. It's also like the previous book never happened at all, which isn't surprising because it was all filler material anyway. But Isobel basically spends most of the book going back forth between the dream world and accomplishing nothing until the very end. This series could have easily been one long book rather than dragged out over three long books.

I guess if you're a fan of the series, you'll probably enjoy Oblivion. Especially if you like the dreamworld scenes. I mostly just read it to see how it would be resolved, and because of that bizarred ending on the previous book, which ended up just being a ruse to pick up this one, which I 100% fell for. Oh well.
