Black Knight by Rina Kent

Black Knight (Royal Elite, #4)

by Rina Kent

Love is impossible. Hate is an open game.

Kimberly

He was once my best friend, now he’s my worst enemy.
Xander Knight is heartbreakingly beautiful.
Ridiculously popular.
Brutally cruel.
He’s a knight but won’t do any saving.

Xander

We started as a dream, now we’re a nightmare.
Kimberly Reed is pathetically fake.
Terribly innocent.
Secretly black.
She can hide but never from me.

Black Knight is part of Royal Elite Series but could be read on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous books first. This is a high school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains visceral mental health situations that some readers can find triggering.

From the very beginning, I could not wait for Kim and Xander's story. I love that Rina constantly hinted at these two and the anticipation just about killed me. Now, did I expect a super emotional story that would rip my heart out, absolutely not! I was crying throughout their story and multiple times might I add. Black Knight just might be my favorite in the Royal Elite series!

Rina truly exceeded all my expectations with their story. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to sum up the words to write this review.

From beginning to end, my heart was just breaking for Kim and everything she has endured in her life. The pain and constant bullying, add on the hate that she received from her ex-best friend. I wanted nothing more than to reach into the pages and just hold her.
