I really enjoyed the first book in this duology. I thought it was mysterious and interesting and well written. I didn't know when I picked it up that it was going to have a sequel and it left off at a cliffhanger, so this finale was a very anticipated title for me this year. And...I am super disappointed. It is mostly descriptions of the logistics of traveling from place to place, with explanations of who entered the car in what order and putting on seat belts, info dumps about why they traveled after getting to their locations, discussions about feelings, and lots of crying. LOTS of crying.
