Collects four Hellboy stories, including one where he teams with a wandering hillman in a tale of Appalachian witchcraft.
The Crooked Man contains three really kick-ass stories and one that's a bit of filler (it was for Free Comic Book Day 2008). The title story has some excellent art and is really, genuinely creepy. At the end of the book, they're a great essay about an author I (and apparently many others) had never heard of, [a:Manly Wade Wellman|52005|Manly Wade Wellman|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1207666651p2/52005.jpg], and I enjoyed reading about his influence on Hellboy.
