When I learned about Georgia and Leo's past in The Fifteenth Minute it made my heart ache. They were each other's first everything! and then Georgia was gone. Leo filled the years with meaningless relationships, and then, fate intervened. Leo and Georgia were thrust back into each other's orbits when Leo was finally called up to the pros, and they are given a second chance at their epic love story.
I really love second chance romances, because we get to skip the awkward getting to know you stuff. The MCs already know each other, therefore, the romance can be accelerated to get to the good parts quicker. I had so much hope for these two, because they had been through so much together, and Leo still felt that void, and wondered what happened. I want Georgia to do some explaining, I wanted Leo to get his answers, and I wanted him to get the girl.
You really couldn't ask for a more perfect hero and heroine. Georgia was sweet, understanding, and assertive (when necessary). Leo was honest, doting, giving, and so swoony. I felt like he was all in before Georgia was, and I love when that happens. Additionally, the story was filled out with some fun hockey guys, a great best friend for Georgia, and the wonderful Trevi family.
Overall: It was hot and sweet and made me oh so happy. I am really excited to read more of this series.
