This is one of those books that’s hard to rate because the mood of it— the intentional, well-written mood— is exhausting. Seriously. These people are trapped in the House Party From Hell and all I want to do is get the hell out of there. It made me as miserable and claustrophic as they are. A little more joy in amongst the awfulness would have gone a long way.

And a little more of the sexual tension that KJ Charles does so well. I missed that sorely, so three stars it is.
