"We're the first people whose people we want dead actually end up dead." (Caitlyn Martell-Lewis)

Oh my goodness! I'm struggling to form coherent sentences. My mind is blown!

In The Good Girls, there are five POV's: Mackensie, Ava, Caitlyn, Julie and Parker. Usually, when I read books with multiple POV's the voices blend into each other and one character is focused on more than the others. However, Sara Shepard effortlessly weaves five different POV's together to form a cohesive story. Each character has an equal amount of spotlight and play an equal role in The Good Girls. The characters also have unique personalities, interests, home situations, relationships and voices. My favourite POV in The Good Girls is Julie's. I always had a feeling that there was something more to Julie.

But, what I want to talk about is the mystery aspect. HOLY HELL! MY MIND IS STILL REELING! I can't believe what I just read. I kept on trying to anticipate what would happen next. I was literally on the edge of my seat! There's so many twists and turns and the whole mystery aspect is just done so well. The Good Girls also gets points for dealing with one of my 'reading bait' topics, the human psyche. In The Perfectionists, I thought that Parker was a figment of Julie's imagination, but when Parker has a conversation with Ava in The Good Girls, I thought I was wrong. But, I never could have guessed that Julie had split personalities. I actually interested in reading this series again now that I know the outcome of it.

I really feel like I ended 2017 on good note!
