Summary:
Jinwoo Sung has a reputation among the other hunters and dungeon adventurers – he's known as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind. Yeah, quite the blow to one's ego. Yet Jinwoo can't give up this job, as his mother's hospital bills keep on climbing.
However, one job changed everything. It should have been a regular dungeon, but it quickly became life-or-death. Somehow Jinwoo survived – but he's forever changed. Now he's working hard to level up and change the game.
Review:
Life hasn't been the same for Jinwoo—not since he woke up in the hospital. Solo Leveling Vol. 2 continues his antics and leveling experience, but perhaps not in the way readers might expect! Side note: My binge-read of Solo Leveling is partially a re-read. I don't remember where I left off, so I'm just starting at the beginning.
The first volume had to spend most of its time setting up the world and characters. Now that we're past that phase, we're really getting to see the world and plot shine through. There is so much potential in Solo Leveling that you wonder how far this character will ultimately go.
Solo Leveling Vol. 2 introduces new characters – and potential threats. All while allowing Jinwoo to learn and get strong. I already have an inkling of where some of these subplots will go, but I'm looking forward to finding out).
