Summary:

Makoto Kowata is a witch. Or rather, she's a witch in training. As such, she has packed up all her belongings (and cat) to live with distant relatives. It's a bit of a family tradition – a way of sending young witches out into the world - but in a gentler way.

It's time to head out to the yomiya – a night festival. Of course, given this crew, it's only natural for them to come across the Harbinger of Summer (who tends to oversleep). Meanwhile, gardening mayhem brings a new witchy perspective to the farm.

Review:

Seven volumes in, and I still can't get over how fun and endearing this series is. Flying Witch Vol. 7 is everything I had hoped and expected – a casual romp through the countryside with witches, creatures, and more.

I enjoyed the take on the Harbinger of Summer. It was a quirky detail that fit in so perfectly with the whole series. Likewise, the (mis)adventure with the mandrakes was just as funny, though I'm not going to talk about them too much (to avoid spoilers).

Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what else I can say that has yet to be covered in previous volume reviews. The series is a steady constant of slice-of-life storytelling in such a calming way. It's the perfect series to chill and read.
