Summary:
The characters of Spy x Family tend to keep themselves busy – and that means lots of chaos and adventures! Given that in a single family, we have a spy, an assassin, a telepath, and a (dog) seer, it makes sense that lots of...adventure will come their way.
Included in Spy x Family: Family Portrait is a story about Yuri, Frank, the whole family, and more!
Review:
If you're like me and anxiously awaiting ANY new Spy x Family content, you've got to read Spy x Family: Family Portrait! It's that balance we know and love, but told in more of a one-shot or slice-of-life style format.
While this light novel isn't written by Tatsuya Endo (the creator), it's clearly written by somebody who cares about the content and characters. There is so much heart in here; it feels like part of the whole, you know?
I love how each story focuses on a different element. And that we got to learn more about the characters in the process. I don't know how canon everything here is (note to self: go find that out!), but I still really enjoyed it.
My favorite story (I think?) was Yuri's, mostly because it was hilarious. Also, I love that he was forced to get to know Anya just a little bit more. We've been needing that missing puzzle piece for a while now.
