This magical tale offers a unique story plot with beautiful details and characters. I found this to be an adventurous read with a lot of imagination and creativity. At one point (about 2/3's into it) I felt like the story got sluggish and maybe a little bit more drawn-out than necessary, but it quickly ramped back up and caught my interest again. The style of writing felt a little forced and choppy though, which made it difficult for me to fully grasp it's overall potential. Although geared as a middle grade book, many adult fantasy lovers might enjoy this as well.
