I love this series! The author’s writing is snarky, sarcastic, and smart with healthy doses of humor and seriousness alike. The characters, even the ones I might not love, have stayed consistent from the very first book, keeping them familiar to the reader. And there is so much to love in these books… magic, monsters, and romance! One of the things I love most about these books is the revisioning of mythology and lore. In this one, the author blended zombie lore with gorgon mythology, and it made for a really fun read. I also loved the little self-insert of the author’s alter (other author) ego! A fun little Easter egg.
