Summary:

Mark Grayson has always known he had a better-than-average chance of succeeding with superpowers. After all, his father has them and promised to inherit them someday. This helped prepare Mark for superhero life long before those powers came to be.

Mark has had a lot (some would say too much) on his shoulders lately. So you can imagine his reaction when the Viltrumites raise their heads again. Or rather, one Viltrumite. An agent who thinks she can turn Mark to their side.

Review:

Ohhh boy. Things are heating up again! Invincible Vol. 9 is an action-packed and tense volume, perhaps for different reasons than the past few volumes. It's setting up for something big, and I'm excited and terrified to see where it goes.

First, there's the Viltrumite plot (which is more like two plots running simultaneously). I'm pretty invested in both, though I have no idea how they'll go (this series is good at that). I'm almost afraid to have hope...

The whole Dupli-Kate subplot was pretty interesting, I have to admit. It answered something I've been wondering from the beginning. I still have questions, but what's new?! On the whole, I do love that all the secondary characters/heroes have been getting a chance to grow with the series.

Highlights:
Part of a Series
Superhero Teen
Coming of Age with a Twist
Now an Amazon TV Series
