In summary, the book Scar Lett focuses on Charlotte's attempts to reconcile with her daughter, Scarlett. Charlotte has exceptional, secret abilities. Mentally and spiritually, she can project herself into the past at will. It requires a lot of focus, though. She calls it "metaphysical magic". I find the concept invigorating. During an intimate sexual encounter with her long-distance boyfriend; Liam, she becomes pregnant. Shortly thereafter, the story’s antagonist (a ghost from a past timeline, whose name is Mary), steals and impregnates herself with Charlotte’s "child seed" in her (Mary’s) own past timeline. Yes, it’s a new concept, and I like it. With the help of Liam and their other associates, Charlotte attempts to make contact with her daughter, who lives in a past timeline.
The book is a breath of fresh air. The concept of "metaphysical magic" is a clever one. In my opinion, the language in the book is imaginative, and the plot is unique. Overall, I'm impressed with A.F. Robert's writing because of how distinctive it is. Rich and vibrant character development is evident in this book. Upon completing the novel, I realize that each character's personality has been carefully crafted and honed. It is a highly compelling novel, but at the same time, I think the world-conceptualization surrounding the plot may need more exploration. The only thing that sometimes confuses me about the storyline is the abrupt time-jumps that occur whenever a new character continues the narration in the book.
In terms of content editing, the book is well-edited. It does, however, contain profanity, adult situations, explicit sexual scenarios, and glimpses of sexual encounters between minors. As such, I will not recommend this book to children or teens.
Nevertheless, I give this book 4 out of 5 stars, and I will absolutely suggest it to aficionados of the genre looking for something new and unique. If you like paranormal erotica novels, then give this book a read when you get the chance.
