Summary:

Mikami's life hasn't gone quite the way he planned – or hoped. Sure, he has a decent job (even if it is going nowhere). But that's about all he has to brag about. Unfortunately, his life is about to go further downhill when he gets in the way of a man wielding a knife.

The good news is that Mikami woke up. The bad news is that he didn't do so in his home world. He's now in a fantasy world – and he's a slime! That sounds about right for his luck. How can he become a hero like this? Read and find out.

Review:

Okay, so I've been hearing non-stop about That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime for years (really! It's already been over six years since the first volume came out). So I finally caved and read the first volume.

It isn't bad. I know that often the first volume isn't as strong as the rest of the series since there is so much to get through. So in that sense, I can see how this series will pick up in the future! I will have to keep reading to confirm.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 1 has a very tongue-in-cheek type of humor, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, I can also see the main character becoming OP quickly (maybe that is the point?). There's also a fair bit of fan service, so steer clear if that is not your cup of tea.

Will I Read the Rest of the Series: Probably

Highlights:
Isekai
Reincarnation
Comical Manga
Fantasy Setting

Trigger Warnings:
Death (quick)
