So… didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. Little White Lies was funny and clever and emphasized Sawyer’s mini-obsessive quirks. The mystery played out well even though it wasn't surprising. This one strains credulity with its twists. Like, logically they all add up but, really?!?! It made it feel a bit contrived. And I didn't seem to be connected to the characters as much, perhaps because the main ‘plot’ felt much less focused than the last time around. And I still figured it out before the reveal (by like a chapter, granted).
Sadie-Grace was still hilarious and the light of the book. The rest was just ok, even for an easy, summer/beach read.
