A gripping plot, a flawed lead character and plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing made this one of my books of the year. Delightful descriptions of 1940's Israel and characterisations that leave you immersed in the post-war era.
I'm looking forward to following Mr Lapid's adventures in the rest of the series
