Dead over Heels by Charlaine Harris

Dead over Heels (Aurora Teagarden, #5)

by Charlaine Harris

Roe never liked Detective Sergeant Jack Burns, but she never wanted to see him dead - especially not dropped from a plane right into her own back yard. Luckily, even Lawrenceton's finest know that Roe couldn't possibly be in two places at once, so her name is crossed off the suspect list.

But then other strange things begin to happen around Roe, ranging from the peculiar, to the violent, to the potentially deadly. Clearly there is a personal message in this madness that Roe must decipher, before it is too late ...

Aurora Teagarden's quite day was interrupted by a body plummeting from a low-flying aircraft. When it turns out to be a detective who disliked Roe, Roe has to find out who is doing it because more bodies start stacking up.

It's light murder, nothing exceptional but an interesting read.
