This was a fun read, but I have to admit to being a little disappointed. With a title like Mister Hockey, I was expecting the sport to play a bigger part of the story. This isn't really a sports romance - it's a romantic story where the hero happens to be a star athlete.

The book has a great meet-cute. The hockey superstar sweeps in and saves the day for the geeky librarian and sparks fly.

I also like Breezy and Jed and found them to be likable characters.

My main issue with Mister Hockey (besides not really being about hockey) was the fact that heavier emotions were discussed, but not dealt with. Issues between Jed and his family, Breezy and her mother, Jed and Breezy.... all conflicts that were hinted at and resolved by glossing them over or with a quick conversation. Even big issues like Breezy losing her job only had their resolution hinted at.

Overall, this is a cute and fun read. It's a book I enjoyed, but not one I would rush to buy.
