The Wizard of Oz (Wizard of Oz)

I understand why this is a classic and was turned into a film, but what I don't understand is why a children's novel has such violence in it. Yes, you can say the same for other books that I've reviewed, but this was marketed for children not middle grade, which is where I believe the violence level is at. Overall an enjoyable listen, great voice actor, but not something I would recommend for younger children.
