I love this series so much, and this installment didn’t disappoint! Much of my love for it lies at the feet of the two main characters, Dannel and Osian. The dynamic between them is beautiful, loving and supportive in every way. Their banter is witty, and I love that they maintain their sense of humor, even in the face of some rather precarious situations!
This book, and the entire series, is the epitome of the cozy mystery genre. Dannel and Osian continue to drive authorities insane as they find themselves sleuthing, often interfering in investigations. The situations they find themselves in are just as often comical as they are emotional or dangerous.
The characterization is terrific, from the main characters to the supporting cast. And the positive representation of autism is necessary, welcome, and wonderful.
