Scream for Us is a short, dark erotic romance with a reverse harem. If you are not familiar with a reverse harem, it is when the female MC has several love interests. She doesn’t have to decide to be with just one of them. If you are not into reading that kind of thing, maybe this novella is not for you. (I’m sick and tired of other readers giving other readers a hard time about reading reverse harem. I’ve been reading reverse harem since the early 2000s. Enough with my rant, onto my thoughts on Scream of Us.)

Storyline/My Thoughts: I will try to keep my thoughts on Scream for Us short since this was a novella. The novella beings with the female MC, Quinn, attending a Halloween party. She becomes fascinated by three masked men at the party who become overly protective of her. Each of a scary Halloween mask on; Ghostface (from Scream), Michael (Halloween), and Jason (Friday the 13th). At the beginning of the night, she decides to have all her darkest fantasies come true with them, and they oblige.

This was a short novella with not much plot but a lot of spice. When I say a lot of spice, I mean it. If you are looking for a story that dives deep into the characters, you won’t get it from this book. You’ll get pieces of the characters, but it’s all about Quinn and the masked men there for her. Ghostface is the most intriguing of the three masked men that I want to know more about, especially after what he confesses to her at the end of the novella.

There is one scene in the book that made me question Quinn. When the masked men find out what happened to her, they get revenge for her. I would be running and not going to one character after what he does for her. This novella was quick to read and made me pick up the next novella in the Holiday Masked Men series. Don’t judge. I love books that have lots of steam and spice to them.

I also found a new author that I’m going to check out. I’ve already added the additional books she’s written to my ever-growing TBR. I give this novella 3.5-stars and look forward to reading more from this author.

Standalone or Part of Series: It’s a quick novella in the Holiday Masked Men series by Molly Doyle. (Each could be read as a standalone but you’ll miss out who the female MC met the masked men in the first novella, Scream for Us.)

Steam/Spice: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
