It only took me 84 years to finally read Playing the Maestro and I'm so glad that I did! It's super sweet. Melody is a flutist in a struggling orchestra, and she is done with dating musicians! At least until the new conductor, Wolfgang, strolls in. He's super hot, but he's also quite stuffy at first glace. He's not there to date though, especially since Melody looks like his thieving ex-girlfriend. Of course, the more time they spend together, the more they look past appearances.

I just really enjoyed Playing the Maestro. It's a quick, straightforward romance. I like Mel and Wolf and thought they were a good fit. Even though I'm not into classical music at all, it was interesting to learn more about this world. What really stood out to me was the conflict though. Wolf's ex really is terrible! And I liked how instead of just letting Mel go, he chases after her and makes sure he clears the air about what's really going on. No long drawn out break up here!
