I purchased Wicked As They Come nearly ten years ago, at what was the height of the Steampunk movement. Or at least, that's what it felt like. But I quickly came to realize that I didn't really like Steampunk, so this book sat unread for almost a decade. Now, I finally read it, and I actually enjoyed it! Did I love it? No. Was it anything special? Not really. Was it thoroughly entertaining? Yes!

Wicked As They Come is a Paranormal Romance with a Steampunk twist and reads kind of like an adult Alice in Wonderland, but with vampires. I think it was the vampire angle that saved this one for me, because I pretty much love vampires in any setting. Criminy is actually a Bludman, which is what vampires are called in his parallel world of Sang. Leticia is just a normal woman who wakes up in this alternative-history-esque world and soon finds herself wrapped up in a nefarious plot, having to save the world, and falling in love! It didn't always keep my attention, but in the end, I was happy that I finally read it.
