I signed up for Death By Appointment just because of the name! I liked the way Mairi Chong set up the story; Devils Leap and that small hamlet were perfectly creepy but also enthralling! I also loved that the author tied things up so unexpectedly, although I think everyone is far too forgiving of that guy and he needs to be punched in the face a few times.
Yeah it was really hard to get over my hatred of one guy and how he was let off with just a slap on his wrist. I think that took the whole book down for me.
