I liked second installment in the series, but not enough to continue with the series, at least right now.
First book was fully from perspective of Jesse, but this one introduces Ali as a second narrator. It was a smart move from the author, especially after all the events that transpire in this story.
Would I recommend it? Yes. But it's going into that dystopian intrigue territory with high stakes and 'political' intrigue that I don't particularly like.
