The Basics:
The Alien Assassin's Convenient Wife is exactly what it sounds like. Jadzion is an alien and an assassin and he needs a wife to gain access to a couples' retreat in order to find his target. Jenna is conveniently his fated mate and a woman on the dating app he joins.
My Thoughts:
The Alien Assassin's Convenient Wife combines three things that I love: fake relationships, assassins, and Ruby Dixon. Of course this one was a winner! It was a super quick and entertaining read. I finished it in one sitting, not wanting to put it down! Jadzion doesn't seem like a very good assassin at first. He does basically no research on his target or where he's hiding, not understanding the situation that he's gotten himself into. Thankfully, he does meet Jenna who is able to take matters into her own hands.
This novella is actually quite hilarious. That couples' retreat? Not exactly what you're going to have in mind! Poor Jadzion just doesn't know what to do in this situation! Jenna is definitely a take-charge sort of woman, which we see from the beginning at their very unfortunate first meeting, all the way until the bad guy's head is packed up for payment! It was just a lot of fun! Definitely read The Alien Assassin's Convenient Wife if you need to smile.
