Revenge body is meant to be read out loud, to roll off the tongue and appeal to something inside you. While there were some poems I couldn’t relate to and felt detached from, as a whole this was a good collection (revenge body, the poem, is my favourite).
Revenge body also felt a bit like a story told with poems; you slowly piece together the poets life, the abuse at the hands of the brother who was once a friend, the mothers neglect, the lovers who take more than they leave behind. The revenge body, the revenge of the body, that was once commented on, abused in many ways, comes back at the end living.
