This is the author’s second book in the series, following Reindeer Runes, which I also loved. Once again, we fall into the story of Lumi and Corbin, who are among my favorites in the Holiday Haven world. Lumi and her family have the sacred duty of caring for reindeer who have retired from service to the big man himself, Santa. And they are aided in that task by the frost pixies who live in the forest nearby. Corbin is the prince, second only to his older brother in line for the throne. In this book, something is happening to the pixies. Normally, kind and sweet-tempered, they’ve become anything but. If that isn’t enough, a smarmy real estate agent is aggressively trying to coerce her family into selling part of the reindeer sanctuary. Things get out of control quickly, and it is up to Lumi and Corbin to figure it all out. This series, and this book, are just fun to read and to get lost in!
