I absolutely loved the premise of Someone Seeking Someone Else! We are going old school here. Kai is not having any luck using date apps or websites to find a good man, so she turns to the newspaper. Yes, the physical, printed, local newspaper. She puts in a personal ad and gets tons of responses, mostly from men who misinterpreted her message. But amongst the spam was a drawing of her from Rux, so she writes him back, and the two become old fashioned pen-pals!
Someone Seeking Someone Else was super cute at the beginning. I adored the letters that were included. It was just such a fun way for Kai and Rux to get to know each other before they jumped into a relationship. Things did get weird in the middle when the inevitable breakup happens, but it's not even really a breakup because they hadn't gotten together yet. Kai has some kind of meltdown that made no sense, led to Rux spilling every last detail of his dating history, Kai getting more upset, and then...I don't even know. Of course, they get (back) together in the end which is all I can ask for. There's also no sex. They have sex, but it's of the fade to the next morning variety.
