This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from the PR Agency in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This book is the 8th in the Montgomery and Braden series but each book can be read as a standalone.
We have seen Amber's siblings fall in love in the previous books in this series while careful Amber has looked on wistfully. Amber is a romantic. She wants the family life but she's always held herself back a little due to her fear of getting another seizure. Amber is such a sweet girl. It's clear why the whole town rallies round her in this book. Amber is an easy character to like and root for.
Dash Pennington is a man that's never had a reason to slow down. Dash is a real hunk but he's not got that big star ego. He's a real family guy who knows how to pull out those romantic moments. On more than one occasion I was swooning at Dash's actions.
Amber's seizures are written honestly and with dignity. It's a sensitive subject and Melissa does an excellent job of portraying how it feels to watch someone you love go through this. It was so heartbreaking to read but I think it's important to shine a light on subjects like this.
This story is full of romance and heart warming moments as well as some hot bedroom action. I can't wait for my next dose of Melissa's work.
