I enjoyed Fear the Beard more than I expected. LLV books have been hit or miss for me lately. I thought book 1 in the series was good, but not great or anything. With this being a bit of a taboo/student-teacher thing, I wasn't sure I would like it. However, it is well done!

Dr. Tommy is charming and endearing and Tally is sweet and likable. The tension comes mostly from wondering if their relationship will be discovered. There are a few bumps in the road from these two just not talking things out sometimes, but nothing that bothered me a great deal (miscommunication tropes are some of my least favorites!).

What made this book absolutely wonderful in my opinion was the epilogue! So freaking perfect! I just loved it!

The narrators are great! Good accents and engaging voice acting keep me entertained and focused. I am really liking these two narrators and I hope they will continue the series!

  • POV: dual 1st

  • Tears: no

  • Trope: student/teacher, MC club

  • Triggers: none

  • Series/Standalone: stand alone within an interconnected series

  • Cliffhanger: No

  • HEA: yes, with beautiful, perfect epilogue!

Drumline by Stacy Kestwick, Rebel by Rebecca Yarros...then you will probably like Fear the Beard!
