I really wish that Goodreads did half stars for ratings. I don’t want to give this one a 3 star, but I also didn’t love it enough for 4. I’d go with 3 ½ given the choice, but it is what it is.
Let me just state now that I really do want to love this series. It has so much potential, but I feel like it keeps getting lost somewhere along the way. I’m curious to see what Darkseid’s plan is, and honestly I’m feeling pretty anxious to get going with that arc. Everything else sort of feels like a distraction. I understand that they want to show us each world and their view on their ‘god’ and it is sort of the fair thing to do. I’m just not enjoying that particular side of the plot as much as I would have liked.
