This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am a HUGE Josie Quinn fan. I have been following her journey since book one and this latest instalment broke me. Damn you, Lisa! Damn you!
Josie is her usual determined and observant self. Josie always notices the little things that everyone else seems to dismiss or not even entertain. Josie is damn good at her job and if I was missing or in danger she would be top of my list of fictional detectives to save me. I love Josie's growth over these eleven books. She has gone from a solitary character to one who has so many who love her. She has opened up her heart and let them all in and I couldn't be prouder of her.
As always Josie's team are excellent. Gretchen is one of my favourite side characters. She is such a good support to Josie.
This story has SO many twists and turns that you don't know if you are coming or going. Lisa keeps you guessing from the very first page to the very end. Lisa kept me up late into the night with this one and I cannot wait for the next one!
